"Ethan Elliot is no stranger to secret identities. As an LGBT teen, he’s dealt with secrets all his life. Nevertheless, when his powers kick in and he’s whisked away to join a team of superheroes, he dons a mask of a different kind—one that sees him battling supervillains and testing his limits.
However, there’s more going on behind the scenes than capes and costumes. At the headquarters of the Protectorate, he makes unlikely friends with Gravity Girl and Element Boy. Except Element Boy might turn out to be more than just a friend, and Gravity Girl is battling demons of her own.
Ethan will discover what it means to be a hero, and must learn that even superheroes aren’t untouchable."
This book came to me a bit by chance, thanks to the author who asked me if I wanted to help him for the realease of his first book. Because I have a soft spot for first publications and YA stories, I was happy to help. I liked the cover and the blurb so I asked if I could have an ARC. I'm sooo happy I had the chance to read Untouchable before its release. It would have been a shame to miss this goodread. This is the first story I read about superheroes and so I was excited to read something new to me.
Untouchable is a short read that all the book lovers, who look for something different and amazing to read, will enjoy. It's funny, sweat and exciting ! I loved the main character, Ethan, quickly because he was genuine, endearing and authentic. I felt he was true and refreshing.
The plot was simple but catchy, compelling, and very well developed. (Though I would have loved more !) I also enjoyed the romance between two superheroes. It was cute, realistic and deep. Ethan and Greyson's love story was perfectly brought and nice to read. I can't wait to read more about them and the other characters !
Now, Untouchable being a first publication, I need to point out the flawless writing. This book touched my heart and I loved all of it ! I laughed and smiled a lot while reading. I can't wait for the sequel !
I highly recommand this book ! Say au revoir to vampires and ghosts, Superheroes, here they come !
