Hey everyone !
Last month I reviewed once again great books !
May won't be different !
Okay, maybe this time my bookshelf of the month will be quite not like the one I shared with you last month.
Since last fall, I've been waiting for the release of After The End, from one of my favorites writers, Amy Plum. But before I read this one I am about to read Vampire next door by Angela Snyder. I loved the synopsis !
And the last one is So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld, one of my favorites writers too. I can't wait to share with you my thoughts about their books.
1) Vampire Next Door by Angela Snyder :
"After being left for dead in the woods, a woman wakes up from a coma. With no memory of her past, she is given the name Jane Doe. While trying to adjust to her new life, tragedy strikes again. However, this time a mysterious and handsome next-door neighbor is there to help her pick up the pieces. But is he really a stranger, or does he hold the key to unlocking her past and finding out who wants her dead?"
2) After The End, ( May 6th 2014) by Amy Plum :
"She’s searching for answers to her past. They’re hunting her to save their future.
World War III has left the world ravaged by nuclear radiation. A lucky few escaped to the Alaskan wilderness. They've survived for the last thirty years by living off the land, being one with nature, and hiding from whoever else might still be out there.
At least, this is what Juneau has been told her entire life.
When Juneau returns from a hunting trip to discover that everyone in her clan has vanished, she sets off to find them. Leaving the boundaries of their land for the very first time, she learns something horrifying: There never was a war. Cities were never destroyed. The world is intact. Everything was a lie.
Now Juneau is adrift in a modern-day world she never knew existed. But while she's trying to find a way to rescue her friends and family, someone else is looking for her. Someone who knows the extraordinary truth about the secrets of her past"
3) So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld :
"Hunter Braque, a New York City teenager who is paid by corporations to spot what is "cool," combines his analytical skills with girlfriend Jen's creative talents to find a missing peron and thwart a conspiracy directed at the heart of consumer culture."
